Privacy & Terms

The short version: everything you track lives on your iPhone, we never see it, and there is no account to create. The long version follows — written to be read, not skimmed past.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. Stintkeep has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting service of our own, and no servers of our own. The app makes no connection to us at all. We cannot see your shifts, your pay, your notes, your attachments, or anything else you put into the app — not because we choose not to look, but because there is no channel through which any of it could reach us.

Where your data lives

Everything you track — shifts, breaks, earnings, tips, checklists, notes, templates and attachments — is stored in the app's own database on your device. It stays there unless you export it: as a signable PDF record, a backup file, or a shared attachment. Once you export something, where it goes is up to you.

Photos you attach (for example, of a rota or payslip) are stored locally with your other data. The built-in redaction editor lets you black out private details before a record is ever shared, and redactions are burned in — the covered content is not recoverable from the exported file.

Notifications

If you create a shift reminder, the app asks iOS for notification permission at that moment. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; no notification service of ours is involved, because none exists.

Purchases

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The App Store's own receipt on your device is the record of your purchase; we do not store or transmit anything about it.

Siri, Shortcuts and the Action Button

Voice and shortcut commands are handled by iOS on your device. Using them does not send your data anywhere.

Backups

The backup file you can export from Settings contains your data, unencrypted by us, for you to store wherever you choose. Treat it as you would any personal document. Your device's own iOS backup (iCloud or computer) may also include the app's data under your Apple account's settings — that is between you and Apple, and governed by Apple's terms.

Children

Stintkeep is a work-tracking tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the change will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, the realistic scope of change is small — but if we ever added anything that transmits data, it would be opt-in and plainly labeled.

Terms of Use

The agreement

Stintkeep is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, supplemented by the terms below. By using the app you agree to them.

What Stintkeep is

Stintkeep is a personal record-keeping tool. It records the time between your start and end actions, together with whatever details you add, and formats that record for your own use. It is your log, built from your input.

What Stintkeep is not

Purchases, trials and cancellation

Stintkeep is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription with an introductory free trial, and a one-time lifetime purchase — each unlocking the same, complete app. Prices, trial terms and renewal terms are shown by the App Store before you confirm, in your local currency. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Your data if a subscription ends

Your records remain on your device and remain yours. If your subscription lapses, the app will always provide a way to export everything you have tracked, regardless of payment status.

Accuracy and responsibility

The record reflects what you enter and when you tap. You are responsible for its accuracy and for any use you make of it — including edits, which the exported record marks as amendments. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stintkeep is provided "as is", and we are not liable for decisions, disputes or outcomes based on records kept in the app.

Backups are yours to keep

Because your data exists only on your device, loss of the device without a backup means loss of the data. The app provides one-file export and import for exactly this reason; keeping a current backup is your responsibility.
